Fraxion acquires Yellow Dog Software

Expanding our procure-to-pay capabilities to include inventory management

We're excited to announce that Fraxion has acquired Yellow Dog Software, a leading provider of inventory management software with deep expertise serving hospitality, sports, food and beverage, and retail organizations.

The acquisition expands Fraxion’s capabilities into inventory management and creates an opportunity to extend our proactive spend management approach beyond procure-to-pay, giving organizations greater visibility into the full lifecycle of purchased goods.

This is our second acquisition since Main Capital Partners' investment in Fraxion in 2025, following Centreviews, which expanded our accounts payable capabilities. Together, these investments support our vision to broaden the platform and help mid-market organizations manage more of the processes connected to business spend.

Extending visibility beyond the purchase

Managing business spend doesn’t end when a purchase is approved or an order is placed. Organizations also need to understand what they receive, what they have on hand, how goods are used, and how those purchases ultimately affect costs and profitability. Connecting this information gives finance and operational teams greater context to manage spend, identify waste, and make more informed purchasing decisions.

Fraxion helps organizations manage spend from purchase request through payment, with visibility into what is being requested, approved, committed, and invoiced. Yellow Dog brings complementary capabilities for managing inventory, usage, costs, and what organizations have on hand.

Together, Fraxion and Yellow Dog create an opportunity to connect more of the spend lifecycle, linking what organizations plan to buy and pay for with what they receive, use, and have on hand. Over time, this could provide a more connected view of procurement and inventory, helping organizations make more informed decisions and manage spend more effectively.

The acquisition brings together two complementary businesses with a shared focus on helping organizations better manage their spending and operations.
